Ulrika Sandstrom's s/s 2009 collection takes its inspiration from the film The Science of Sleep . I find myself swooning over the above slacks which I shall never have in my possession because I make less than $30,000 a year which comes out to a depressing TOO EXPENSIVE & HIGH CLASS FOR ME.
Perhaps I'll be able to find a cheaper cousin, yes?
Coincidentally, pants of this nature always make me smile because they hearken back to a certain Katharine Hepburn woman for me:

These pants are adorable, and Katherine always pulled them off so well!! I, however, always feel reluctant to try high-waisted or wide-leg pants, because I'm somewhat full-figured! Not sure if they would work...I bet you could find some vintage ones very similar [and less expensive!]
I happened accross a denim version at The Body Co. this past fall and I snatched them up because of the $10.00 price tag.
They are a seven and a size or two too big but, I make them work, darn it!
Haha!
I NEED SLACKS though so, now I'm on alert for anything akin to these.
I haven't decided on the color yet, though. :)
