Portrait of a Small Town.

Portrait of a Small Town is a photo essay by Everett W. Kuntz focusing on life in his hometown of Ridgeway, Iowa between the years of 1939-1942.
I love how you can catch little glimpses into how everyday life unraveled decades ago by not only focusing in on the subject of the photo but also taking time to glance the background:

"Ground beef .15 a lb.", " "Columbia Catfish .13 a lb."

Aren't these two adorable? I wonder if they were sisters or best friends?
Perhaps they were both.

The rest can be found here.

Thanks to For Me, For You for sharing this first.

Sunny Side Up!,
