What's in the Fridge?

I just spent a good half hour studying, really studying, each photo in this series of photos done by photographer Mark Minijvar of the insides of other people's refrigerators because, it satisfied the snooper inside me.

The photo above is my favorite because, if it weren't for certain individuals who share my abode, that is akin to what my fridge would resemble. Sadly, this is more like its current state.

So, tell me; What's in your fridge today?

So, enjoy your breakfasts now, my friends because once you're gone, you won't be needing breakfast no mo'.

Sweetiepie.

Sweetiepie Restaurant opens in New York City next month & with inspiration for the place being extracted from American classic film and their wondorous sets, the opportunity for you and yours to dine in a giant bird cage, and with the food being inspired by 'restaurants of the past, many of them in California [ed: Julie grew up in LA]. The Fountain Coffee Shop in the Beverly Hills Hotel is one of them. Shwabbs, Walters Coffee Shop, etc."; if I resided in New York City, I would be at the door on opening day!

Here's an interview with Mark & Julie Janklow, the proprietors of Sweetiepie, from The CoolHunter. Another thing, Mark's uncle Warner was the famous retauranteer behind Tavern on the Green and The Russian Tea Room! So, if you live in New York City, hightail it over there & let me know your opinion on this culinary adventure!

Tofu, when fully cooked, is quite tasty.

via

Last night, as my mother cooked spaghetti for my brother and the sperm donor, I, once again, endeavored to cook up a tofu stirfry. [I had done this once before and, it is now painfully obvious that what I blamed on the tofu was in reality, my stupidity for not cooking it long enough. Has anyone else found that it takes a good amount of time to finally brown?] I just threw the tofu in with some vegetables including red peppers, onion, snap peas, carrots, and broccoli and stir fried my way into tofu heaven! It was absolutely delicious, all crisp and golden brown...
Mmm, you little soybean devil you, you are so sinful in all of your nutritious yumminess.

ANYWAY, yes.. Krista and Sue are tofu lovers now.
So, does that not up our coolness factor to at least somewhere in the positive numbers?
I kid, of course!
Do you have any diverse tofu recipes that you could share with me? I'm ready for anything!
